Heavy Duty TH400: Starting at the "Front Pump", new seal, babbitt bushing, new pump gear, Trans-Go HD pressure regulator spring, stator half of pump remachined flat with gear to pump clearance set at .0025-.003.

"Forward Drum" 5 Borg Warner forward clutches, clearance for the forward clutch pack .030-.045, 4 flat steels & 1 waved cushion steel, for a smoother engagement. All return springs used.

"Direct Drum" 5 Borg Warner direct clutches, clearance for the direct clutch pack .060-.080, 4 flat steels & 1 waved cushion steel, for a smoother engagement. Trans-Go HD return springs added, to soften reverse engagement, and for a cleaner 3-2 downshift. Borg Warner Hi-Energy extra wide intermediate band used.

"Intermediate sprag" HD Borg-Warner 34 element type.

"Intermediate clutches" 3 Borg-Warner Intermediate clutches, 2 flat steels & 1 waved cushion steel for a smoother engagement.

"Center Support" Two center support seals are added, it eliminates the 3rd gear leaks, at the case to center support.

"Case Saver Snap Ring" is added to keep the intermediate lugs from breaking out.

"Rear Drive Section" Hand picked planets, input internal gear, reaction carrier, reaction carrier shaft, the latest design Borg Warner low/reverse roller assembly, hand picked reaction sun gear, internal reaction gear, internal reaction gear support, the HD bronze rear case bushing, new gear on the governor.

"Valve Body" We use the Trans-Go Shift kit modified to our heavy duty specifications to give more holding capacity. We work with the accumulators to give the best possible part throttle shifts, and progressively firmer shifts with more throttle opening. The late design Sealed Power (filtran zero-leak) filter is used in this transmission. A pan magnet is added. An adjustable modulator is used to fine tune part throttle shifts. HD bearings are used throughout.
